Download the latest Realtek High Definition Audio driver for Windows 7 from here...

Install it then restart!
Open the Realtek HD Audio Manager.
Select the folder icon in the top right of the window (Connector Settings)
Select disable front panel detection.
Congratulations your headphone socket works!
